Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the Kevin Adams School of Performing Arts, a school that specializes in performance excellence from the age of five and onwards. This is the only school of its kind that will give you tuition in Drama, Singing and Street Dance from experts working in the business, with an opportunity to have a professional outlet in Television, Film and Video for your new found skills. The idea for the school is one that has been in the planning for a very long time, and with all the knowledge that has been gained from teaching around the world "now is the time". Kevin has been busy working for the BBC on Skate Nation and in early 2010 he will be seen on the follow-up BBC show entitled Jump Nation. He has also just finished working on a show for the Disney Channel entitled Club High School Musical: Make It Happen, for which, instead of using professional dancers, he used those who where trained locally. Now it's time to take all of this to the next level and offer the same thing to a greater number of students here at The Kevin Adams Academy.

Kevin, having trained locally in Essex, wanted to give others some of the great opportunities that he was lucky enough to have at the start of his career. There will be many outlets during the year for students to perform and for parents and family to see what goes on at The Kevin Adams Academy. Seeing is really going to be believing. And having choreographed and worked with the likes of The Spice Girls, Cher, Mariah Carey and Boyzone, the knowledge gained from these great stars is going to be right here for Academy students to share. In the future, we hope that there will be a Professional Dance Troupe working full-time in the industry and around the world, as Kevin has done himself.

The Academy is lucky to have Girls Aloud and Cheryl Cole choreographer Beth Honan coming to teach, which is a great start. For anyone who saw Cheryl's solo debut on the X Factor, you know how good her choreography is! We are going to keep this theme going by bringing in experts in singing, in the shape of Fame Academy's David and Carrie Grant, who have trained some of the best singers in the world. For drama, we will be calling on the talents of the lead in Phantom of the Opera, Ramin Karimloo, and those of you lucky enough to have seen the show will know that this is a major coupe for a school in it's first term. Ramin will also be taking the lead in Andrew Lloyd Webber's new musical Phantom: Love Never Dies.
